According to the latest grapevine in Tollywood, there is a war is going on for the remake rights of Krishna Vamsi’s latest flick with Nani, Paisa.
Sources say that Sridevi, who has many friends in Tollywood and who is known to buy films for her husband and friends in Bollywood, is keen on buying the rights of Paisa for her husband, Boney Kapoor who wants to remake the film in Hindi with his young actor son Arjun Kapoor.
Prabhu Solomon, the renowned Tamil director who is popular for his films Mynaa and Kumki has chosen Nani to play the hero for his next flick. The director who has a penchant for realistic and tribal themes is planning a bilingual film with Nani in the lead role.
Prabhu tasted success in Tollywood with his earlier films. Mynaa was dubbed into Telugu as Prema Khaidi while Kumki was named Gajaraju in Telugu. Both of them did well at the box office and got critical acclaim as well.
Krishna Vamsi’s Paisa starring Nani is progressing fast. The film touted as political thriller is being given final touches by the maverick director. Meanwhile, producer Ramesh Puppala is planning for the audio launch on April 19 at Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad.
Madhura Sreedhar, director of Back Bench Student is planning his next film. It is already known that he has bought the rights of Vicky Donor to remake it into Telugu.
The movie will be titled Dana Karna, and the director seems to have convinced Nani to take up the lead role. Earlier, it was speculated that Siddharth will be playing the role.
Samuthirakani, the noted Tamil director is making his first direct Telugu movie which is titled Janda Pai Kapiraju with Nani and Amala Paul in the lead roles. The film which is a social drama with a message for youth is presently being shot. The bilingual is produced by K Srinivasan.
