As Karthi's next film Biriyani gets ready to go on floors, there is news about the addition of another actor to the star cast. It is said that British beauty Mandy Takhar is gearing up to join the line-up. According to sources, a test shoot was done with Mandy and the director Venkat Prabhu is said to be mighty impressed.

Meanwhile, expectations are that the film-maker may come up with a special teaser of the movie on May 25, which happens to Karthi's birthday.
It must be noted that Biriyani has been in the making for nearly seven months now and the actor-director combo would like to have a sneak peek before the audiences see it.
Karthi’s recent projects, including Alex Pandian, haven't been exactly successful. He is now betting big on Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani and Rajesh's All In All Azhaguraja, for which he is presently shooting in Pollachi.
Karthi is a busy actor these days. He is juggling between the shoots of Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani and Rajesh's All in All Azhaguraja.
Meawwhile, he has committed to do a film with director Hari subsequently. Hari is wrapping up work on Singam 2 featuring Karthi's brother Suriya.
Director Hari of Singam-fame, who is making a sequel for the same with Suriya, will be working with Suriya's brother Karthi after he is done with this project.
Presently, Karthi is busy shooting for Briyani and All in all Alaghu Raja. Sources say that he will work with Hari after he is done with these two projects.
The director is apparently choosing the cast and crew and will announce the project soon.
Venkat Prabhu's ongoing project Biriyani seems to be cooking rather fast. One schedule of the Karthi-starrer has been completed and the next is tentatively expected to begin in Hyderabad from March 31.
It must be noted that Karthi and the rest of the team including Hansika and Premgi have been shooting for some time now and the director has been picking and choosing the rest of the cast o make Biriyani delicious.

Meanwhile, buzz is that he is doing a cameo. However, it is not in his project but in one of his assistant director's debut film Nalanum Nandhiniyum.

It is learnt that the schedule will take place in Hyderabad. Hansika Motwani and Premgi Amaren are on board. And, according to sources, Prasanna will be doing a cameo in the film.
Karthi’s Alex Pandian’s Telugu dubbed version Bad Boy will be released on March 22.
