While Mega Star Chiranjeevi is proud of the success that his son Ram Charan Teja has achieved, he is also jealous of his son! Speaking at the trailer launch of Toofan, the Telugu version of Ram Charan’s Hindi debut film Zanjeer, the Mega Star has confessed that he is jealous of Ram Charan.
The much talked about Bollywood debut film of Ram Charan Teja, Zanjeer is likely to be named Rustum in Telugu. Zanjeer is the remake of yesteryear’s Amitabh Bachchan’s super hit film of the same name.
Interestingly, Rustum is the name of Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi’s film, which was released in the earlier part of the Megastar’s career.
Zanjeer has Priyanka Chopra playing the leading lady opposite Charan. The film is progressing shoots and it is planned for release later this year.
It seems Ram Charan Teja wants to come out of his father mega star Chiranjeevi’s shadow and establish himself as a hero in Tollywood. And for this, he has decided not to use any more remixes of his father’s hit songs in his upcoming movies.
V V Vinayak who is riding the wave of success with Naayak has announced that he would be doing his next film with Pawan Kalyan.
It looks like Sai Dharam Tej, the new entry to Tollywood from Chiranjeevi’s family is following his cousin Ram Charan’s footsteps. Ram Charan has been using his father’s popular songs in his movies, ever since “Bangarukodipetta…” became a hit in Magadheera. He continued the same trend in his later movies believing it as the successful formula. In fact, his new flick Naayak too has a popular Chiranjeevi song “Subjaleka Rasukunna…”
