Oh gosh I really can't be objective about this film. It totally won me over! Ranbir is great as the poor spoilt little rich kid. Unlike some films where the spoilt kid is irritating, and smarmy, Sid is still a really good person, who helps out someone who is essentially a stranger. But of course when the favour is repaid, Sid's upbringing comes out. Its totally logical that if you've been waited on hand and foot for your whole life, you really wouldn't have a clue as to how much work life can be.
Although the plot was quite predictable (oh I totally saw that career path coming, who didn't) I felt it worked really well. It was handled in a subtle way, that made me belive in the characters and the story. Konkona Sen Sharma is great in her role, but of course This is Ranbirs movie, and he carries it with great aplomb!
I'm going out to buy the soundtrack as soon as I get paid, and I'm going to the cinema to watch it again! Cant wait for the DVD.
All in all, if you like light hearted yet melodramatic coming of age films, then this is one you cant go past!
