I thought the movie was okay, but the only problem was the script. The jodi of Samir Karnik and Bobby Deol has returned after Nanhe Jaisalmar’ and ‘Heroes’. The jodi really doesn't work as both films failed. But "Vaada Raha" isn't that bad like people are saying. The story is touching. It is about  Duke Chawla (Bobby Deol) who is a successful doctor. Duke is doing well in both his professional as well as personal life. He is in deep love with Nalini (Kangna Ranaut) whom he is to marry soon. He has a pet dog whom he loves and cares like his family member. As preconceived, misfortune awaits the protagonist and he meets with an accident. Though he narrowly escapes death, he could not stand to the blow of destiny which leaves him paralyzed from neck down.  He could have at least fought with his condition if Nalini had stood by his side. To his shock, he finds that his dream girl ditches him in time of need and goes away from him. This part of the movie fails to convince the audience as it seems highly unacceptable that someone who loved so deeply walks off one’s life so abruptly.  Anger and frustration overcome the best part of Duke and he starts wishing to die rather than living this type of life. It is at this point that the child Roshan (Dwij Yadav) walks into his life. Despite initial resentment, Duke begins to grow close to the boy. Roshan acts as the moral booster for Duke and he regains his hope and interest to live. Gradually, his condition improves and he gains sensation in his hands and legs. Another misery befalls him when one day the doctor tries to make him walk with the help of clutches. Watch the movie to find out what is the other misfortune for this tragic hero, Duke.

The film is a little bit too unbelievable. Kangana's character leaves him and in the end marries him despite betrayal. How can you marry somebody who left you when they needed you most? The kids talks like a guru. How can a child talk so like a big adult? He is only 10! The music is okay while the script is faulty, but it works.  Coming to the star cast, Bobby Deol and Dwij are perhaps the only actors in the movie whom the audience will appreciate. Kangna is a wonderful actress but her talent is not exploited properly in the movie. Samir Karnik should have used Kangana's talented to his advantage. Mohnish Behl has also done a good job, though he could have done a better job provided the script and direction was apt to mark.

Overall, the film is okay.  The audience may like it, they may not
