An interesting tale of history and human emotions, it is set on the backdrop of the year 1005 AD when the Tamil Kings were at the peak of their power. To quench their penchant for arts, the ruling king Raja Raja Chozhan (Sarath Babu) and his son Rajendra Chozhan (Vijay) decide upon creating some of the finest temples in Thanjavur and in this process they look at getting some of the finest sculptures of beautiful women in the temple. The king sends out his people in search of the right woman and in this process he assigns the task to Iniyan (Vineeth) who hails from Kancheepuram. Iniyan joins the quest and finally comes across a poor girl Samundi (Keerthi Chawla) and he deems her the right fit to pose as a dancer for his carvings. The sculpting begins and Iniyan is floored by the charm and beauty of Samundi and as expected he falls in love with her. But as soon as he confesses his feelings for her, a big shock hits him as Samundi confesses that she happens to be the wife of Rajendra Chozhan. How did this happen? Does Iniyan continue with his work? All this forms the rest of the story.
