U Me Aur Hum

A lot of questions sprang up in my mind when i was going to buy the ticket for this movie. Well to be honest Ajay gave a fresh lease to his one time flagging career with some oood intense performances(read Gangajal & omkara). I did not trust his directorial skills probably because of the way i was seeing him conduct the whole shoot( on Zoom where they kept showing the making of all the songs). Well i was all wrong because very much like his performances in the recent past he has actually given a good movie to watch.

The movie starts with him wooing lady kajol in the cruise. So intense was his desire/ love that he would learn Salsa all night and teach Pia( Kajol) in the morning. (Watch out for the scene when he asks Isha sharwani to teach him salsa its hillarious..not going in much details because it will spoil the fun).

When he has won the heart of pia he makes a confession. He confesses that he had read the book of possibilities ( Ajay has made reading through the book a delight). Ajay and Pia separate but hey they meet again and are married.

The second half starts the real melodrama and thats where Ajay shows how brilliant he could be behind the camera as he is at the front of it. Pia has Alzheimers disease and she Ajay himself being a doctor knows that she could forget anything and everything 

See i would really want to go in the details of the many scenes but trust me i dont want to. Watch out for Kajol as she essays the the role of pia and Ajay too was wonderful. There a few instances of masterful direction by Ajay and again i would stop myself here because they have to be seen to be believed.

Well the only down part of the movie is the first half. Ajay did try to put in all the charm he could but accept the fact he is not the poster boy material( is he) but he redeems himself so well in the post interval period it makes one forget the lapses and the loose ends in the first half.

All in all a good movie to watch with your loved ones or your love. Ajay with a little more fine tuning in the first half can do wonders for the movie and yes he is one of the directors to watch out in the future, and I am not drawing comparisions with Amir Khan because guys Ajay's work stands out very differently from Aamirs and they are two absolutely different quantities so guys watch the movie and have fun

Ajay devgan has come up with "U Me aur Hum" and really dominates theatres with emotional storyline, great acting and some fine tracks by Vishal bharadwaj. The first half of the movie is not just as interesting as its the flirty half which leads to the marriage of Dr.Ajay (Ajay devgan) and Piya (Kajol). Nikhil and Neena are ok with their perfomances. Vicky and Natasha also does ok.

The core of the movie lies on the second half when Piya forgets her home, mobile no. of Ajay, and even his name. Though being a psychatrist, Ajay consults with his senior and rule out she has already started showing the symptomps of Alzhaimerz disease. To make the condition worse, Piya is pregnant, and the rest of the movie narrates the Loving care of Ajay to his dear wife Piya.

The way he narrates the story is quite impressive, in his mid 50's or 60's. Really the movie will get your eyes dewy when you leave the cinema hall.

Vishal bharadwaj's tracks are OK, Saiyaan excells from other ordinary tracks. Lyrics is not bad and really goes well with the melodies. 

Kajol's comeback with her husband Ajay devgan is the main attraction. She plays the role marvellously well and Ajay too plays his part well with his mate. Short comedy flicks oof Jr.Artists also are finely impressive.

The drawback of UMH is that they couldnt create a "Kal ho naa ho" effect. Musical tracks and BGM are never emotional like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composition of KHNH. Never Ajay could be as natuaral as SRK, who handled his comedy and emotional side equally well. A strong artist like Saif for the comedy flick was a need in this film as well. The immaturity of actors is really a drawback.  But with limited cast, this movie is really worth a watch. But it's defenitly not a movie to opt for watching more than a couple of times, likw KHNH. But i was forced to rate it 4 stars because it's a gold amid these bloody comedy flicks like "123" or "Krazzy 4", they really were flops. Watch it for our dear Kajol and Ajay couples - The best movie of this season perhaps.

Once Again UD's Back, this time for a love story...

U Me aur hum ..... In one word.."Heart Breaking" Well the full review would justify the One word... as follows...

In Breif: U Me Aur Hum (  here in after The Movie)  is although the being the usual Love story in which two love birds eventually never meet is defined in such ecstatic manner that you can just feel the goosebums at various moments in the movie like meeting of Ajay and Piya i.e. Kajol, The dedication of Ajay for his love, the help of friends for Ajay, the wishlist:))...etc....

Story : Well, the story is thoughtfully written to include the elements of mordenity with the dash of Traditional Love. After taare Zameen Par, Now a new uncurable disease calld "Alzhimer', huh?  our movies have now grown up to become world class for permenent i guess. The story was beautifully written to cover all aspects like the Art( Showing love so beautifully), Science( Researching A hopeless Disease) and Commerce( MIx the earlier both aspects to Include elements of entertainment)...

Cast Performence: Well this time Ajay Devgan mesmerised everyone with his Versatile performence as a lover, a professional, a husband and eventually a afther... All in one.. Great performence.. Kajol... what could i say about her.. She's one of my favorite actresses,, nevertheless her character was so strong and vital in the movie, and my goodness did she played it like an all time great or what? she's just Naturally great actress... all the other played their parts quite satisfactory too..

Direction : Hip hip hurrah!!! great work done BY Debutant Ajay Devgan.. It was not so easy for subject like this to direct but he did it with ease jjust like a pro. Hreat start to an alternate career or Retirement Plan?:))

Music : ONly the Title song was appealing. and also the little cameo of Chalte Chalte Yuhin Koi Mil gaya that was thoughtfully inserted... the rest of the songs although situation based and carefully composed, make you wanna leave your seat for getting Popcorn...

Dilogues: WEll for me the USP of the movie was it's Dilogues.. my favorite was the tagline of the movie" sometimes the greatest journey of love is the difference between the two people" but after all It's Ajay Devgan, after the Late Raj Kumar And Mr. Bachchhan , It's Ajay who'se movie doesn't go finished without his trademark Dylogues style.. Remember " Humein to apno ne loota... "  Most of them are Worth remembering..,, at least it will help one to flaunter a girl some day... :))

Techinicals: Now that Bollywood also developed the habit of making any movie a great technical show.. this movie was not far behindThe set of the care facility for Kajol was a bit exapzraqting i think... Home production was eventually made this a mess Mr. Devgan!! Everything else was quite good.. the Screenplay the Cenematography, The Photography ( a bit glossy), Back ground Score, Sound Re-recording,,,etc..

                                     Well all in all worth watching in a theatre for the exellence of Ajay and Kajol.. Hat's off to you... I liked it personally, so you should too... :))

its an awsome film!!i m sure ajay will get the award for best debut director n kajol for best actress.

the picture starts when ajay(ajay) sits at a table near pia(kajol) n starts telling her a story:

ajay goes to a cruise with a bunch of friends.there in the bar,pia is a waitress.he falls in love with her.he sneaks into her room n see's her book of possibilities.then he goes to her n tell that he likes watevr she likes(but does not tell that he sae her book).then thay fall in love.ajay's friends tell him to confess eveything to pia n he does confess.

then thay break-up but after words get married.after sometime they come to know a fact that pia has a mental disease in which the prsons tend to forget thing(majour things) he sends her to live in a care-facility.then after words he fells that he should bring pia back even if he has to make her fall in love with him everyday.he does the same n there weresome bonus ays when pia remembered tha they were husband n wife.

the story fnishes n ajay tells tat thiswas thier story n they were celabrating thier 25th ann. on the cruise with thier son.

You know something??

Thats how Ajay Devgan starts the story.. the story which really tells something about something which is nothing but everything in this world..

the story about a guy who was a fun loving flirt and never believed in love at first site.. but asked every girl if she does or not.. and a girl.. who always believed in true love but was always scared to fall in love.. and there is a simple sweet and short story of true love making their dream come true when they get married..

but when you thought the movie was over.. it actually got started.. (in fact it was the intermission actually )

the guy founds about the Alzheimers that her wife is having which (by dictionary) means

A progressive form of presenile dementia that is similar to senile dementia except that it usually starts in the 40s or 50s; first symptoms are impaired memory which is followed by impaired thought and speech and finally complete helplessness

the situation becomes more critical when he comes to know that he's having a baby which will make the Alzheimers' effect even faster..

the story turns into dilema of a husband who everyday asks silently with his life should he do what is right for her, him and the baby(send her alone in a world where there would be a proper treatement for her but no love for her).. or what is right for them.. (to have a complete family with love and problems to go side by side)

the scene of the baby in the bathtub makes viewers breathless and speechless..

finally love shows the way.. it always says that it is not about you or me.. its about hum.. and with this note it leaves up for the viewers to decide is it a hopeless ending in which the girl keeps on forgeting everything including her child and the guy she loved the most in this world.. or is it that with all these problems, the love  is actually getting stronger between them when even after 25yrs of their marriage the guy have to flirt and persuade his girl even for a cup of coffee.. and the guy has the bonus days when she identifies him and their love..

The story is very different and hence won't be digestable for many.. but the cast performance is truly out of this world.. the only drawback of this movie is that there are not many hit numbers and/or really soothing soundtracks in the movie.. (to be precise i can think of just 2.. jee le and u me aur hum and they also are just ok..)

overall a must watch movie.. even if you love it or hate it.. you should see it..

This movie is a movie for people who like to cry, laugh, and sympathize with those people in the movie. It was a fantabulous movie and Kajol acting was superb. I found it sad when Piya(Kajol) had Alziemers. Ajay was so strong to stay with her and never to let her go. Though  he was wrong to put her in her in the Clinic for people like her. Him going back for Piya and sticking to his promise was the right thing to do. I mean it took him 24 drinks just to say "I LOVE YOU" and his bill well I guessed loved him too, because he WANTED to pay for everyone's drink. And Ajay acting, producing, and directing the movie was really brilliant. I would recommend  people who like these types of movies to go and watch it. Not only do I LOVE the plot and the hardwork put into this movie I also LOVE LOVE and LOVE the leading man AJAY DEVAGN  he is so handsome. Well that is my thoughts on him don't know about you.

This is the movie with many folds,,Ajay Devgan as a Director has passed with colours as bright as the sets.The essentially is of love, with love and in love. The vows" till death do us apart' is taken very seriously here and actually is the theme of the movie.

First Dyslexia and then Alzeihmer..we sure are becoming aware,educated and sympathetic audience. But the biggest difference with TZP with story of an abnormal kid and this movie with a character with a hopeless disease is that,,here character is a mere caricature except Ajay Devgan's.

The movie clearly can be divided into two elements . Colourful and white,Dream and then nightmare.The first half with Dazzling cruise liner, Deep blue water and wild blue yonder is a picture perfect setting for a romance-during -vacation..And it happens ..with Ajay wooing Piya i.e Kajol .The generous, passionate and croocked ajay win her and later they  get married.

The second half is actually devoid of this almost festive spirit .The Dark cloud in the form of the dreadful disease loom large on the married life and detiorating condition of Piya makes Ajay abandon her in the Hospital.

The film ends with a happy yet hopeless note and make us think about the relationships and love or bond tying it.

The progress of Ajay's character from generous devil-may-care to self condeming and broken-spirited husband is well defined. Kajol characterisation is very weak .the direction is good and the use of inconsistent flashbacks is interesting.

The scence where KAjol leaves her kid in a bathtub is brilliant.. it leaves audience gasping and on the edge.Ajay plays almost a love-guru in the movie with giving discourse on love and its methods.Music by vishal bhardwaj is ok with meat of the songs rendered by Adnan sami.Photography is glossy .

watch it if u like lilsluggish type of movie .
