hey movie is ok ..but it isnt dat bad...as it is being hated by the people.... leaving some part....the movie has sumthin to watch...eg.Akshay Kumar...the only rason y am sayin dis....he has done fantastic stunts n once again good action sequence...his acting is very good...n the other opart is Kareena's body...kareena is lookin damn beautiful n sexy in the movie.............

well this film proved that good ingredients only can't make the gud dish!This film had evrything actors plot publicity ,but the thing the film was really lacking was STORY !anil kapoor was annoying with his dialogues !if u haven't seen it Dont waste ur time

It was just plain rubbish except for Akshay. For the first time Anil Kapoor acted worst in his career or may be the brainless director forced him to act like that. Never go for it !!!

hoooo.. its a time waste movie.. But akhay ROKS... !

Recently, I had the "gr8 opportunity" to watch the much awaited "tashan"... and boy...it was something i will never forget...but all for the wrong reasons. for starters, it was the first ever movie i walked out of. too much chaos, too much happening, i was so confused that I couldn?t sit in the theatre any longer, and finally decided to just come out!! I don?t know what the Yash Raj films were thinking nor what Mr. Vijay Krishna Acharya was doing while he made the movie...i mean ..was he sleeping??!! The movie was about an English loving Bhaiyaa ji (Anil Kapoor) who was a gangster and had a whole lot of stolen money. Then comes jimmy (saif ali khan),a call center executive who comes to teach bhaiyya ji English, and in the course ends up falling in love with Puja(Kareena Kapoor), bhaiyya ji's sidekick. Puja uses Jimmy to steal Bhaiiya ji's 25 crores, and runs away. Obviously Bhaiyya ji wants his money back, and also along the way wants to kill Puja and Jimmy. That is when Bachan Pande (Akshay Kumar) steps into the picture, and helps trace Puja and Jimmy to get Bhayya ji?s money. The movie in the first half seems to be quite ?ok? and watchable. Songs are good. The cinematography blows you away and it seems as if each shot took lakhs of money. There are a few twists and turns which bring about some excitement. But then, after the interval, the story goes way of course. The director lost control of the entire story and makes you lose interest in the movie. The story just goes on and on, with many irreverent scenes and ?sentiments?. Many have said that it was because of Akshay Kumar, that this movie has worked, but if you ask me, he was just as disappointing as everyone else. Anil Kapoor and his English was total stupidity, and drives you crazzzyy because you cant understand a workd he says. Saif was just a side-a-along character, and god knows why he opted for this role. The one thing which I did like about the movie was Kareena, besides the fact that she looked gorgeous, her role was very well played as well. Basically, Tashan tries way toooo hard to add some ?isshtyle? ..in the end you get nothing but pity on yourself for ever walking into the cinema hall.

first let me tell you one thing about ORKUT:/Chakpak Movies..... It's rating system does not allow me to rate it BELOW 1........ what a damn...... why on earth this movie got released... it's totally aweful... take my word for it... if you take your brain with you in the hall you will find it yourself.... but i must warn you,don't dare to try it.... the only way you can stay until completion,is to laugh your way(Haridwar,Ladakh,Rajasthan etc.) through the movie.... laugh whenever a action sequence appears,laugh whenever there is a dance sequence......laugh aloud.............. the only question that looms when you get out of the hall is "why,why,Akshay had to do this....?" lastly: DON'T DON'T WATCH IT.......

The best movie  ever

It's not Boom, It's not Umrao Jaan, it's not Salaam-E-Ishq, it's not Jhoom Barabar Jhoom but it's TASHAN which is a challange to watch twice (or after it's reviews). TASHAN in apni Mumbaiya language bole to 'kuch karne ko maangta'. I feel the director had a TASHAN to create something different, something super natural without a supernatural affect, something never attempted in Bollywood ishtyle movies, something which we see a few times in South Indian movies, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE SHOULD CREATE TORTURE FOR PEOPLE. TASHAN is a classic example of movie making which shows the art of fiction & nonsense combined togeather in a most simplistic way without the need of masked super characters. On Comparision with Spiderman/matrix kinda movies, this movie reflects the story line in desi way: Bachchan Pandey is a superhero in film and Chamiya (Kareena) plays a modern confident thief who just need a chance to expose. Jimmy (Saif) plays a role like in many movie, the superhero's friend and Bhhaiyaji is on the dark side of movie who creates Bachchan Pandey in the movie. At end Bachchan pandey & company kills Bhhaiyaji. The best part for discussion is the way the super drama was highlighted. Great action, great chemistry, great vulgar dialouges, great exposure, everything about the movie is different and out of the world. Though a superhero flick, the director didn't removed desi touch. The heros were unmasked but still had super power who can jump like spiderman, run faster than bullet like NEO and like many typical desi heros, can fight with 100 people individually and can kill anyone. A true diversified style movie. From WAQT(1965), to DEEWAR(1975), to TRISHUL(1977), to DDLJ(1996), to DTPH(1999), etc., YASHRAJ attempted different kinda scripts and projects and now comes JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM and TASHAN the master pieces with Heights and ways of movie making. Their intention to make movies for those bunch of people (like me) who goes to Rs 35 theatre with big group, comment, laugh, tease, some bakchodi etc to enjoy and make some fun was successful and i must term it as a sincere effort. MULTIPLEX crowd,guys with their GF's, please stay away from the movie and light hearted should never attempt to watch it. Still there will be lot of uses of this movie like a guy can use this flick to propose his GF by sayin "JAANU, MORE THAN CHAND TAARE, I CAN WATCH TASHAN FOR YOU" or by the LAW Department for a Third Degree torture or by people who travel on flights and find it difficult to sleep or whatever possible way. Output of Movie: Complete DABBA, time waste, nonsense, C class, sense less, wierd, silly fights, vulgar, most creative director in India found, and Gaaliyaan from crowd. I wonder how the movie would have went if it were to be made by directors from different banners like: The KARAN Johar style: 1. Chamiya(Kareena) married to Bhhaiyaji(Anil Kapoor) and would have called her husband as "Bhhaiyaji", confused and unhappy with her marriage 2. Bhhaiyaji wants to learn English to flirt with some gori. He kidnaps Jimmy. 3. Jimmy works and owns a call center headed by his dad DUDE (played by Ammitabh Bachchan) who is a big flirty (ala Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) and Jimmy has plans to grow the call center with only female employees for his dad 4. Chamiya meets Jimmy(Saif Ali Khan) and feels she is in love with JIMMY. Next Chamiya leaves with Jimmy with some money from bhhaiyaji with the support of Dude 5. They Dance, they party they sing along with DUDE in center of them (Dance With me Party with Me kinda song with friendly appearences from SRK and Kajol). Next morning Jimmy finds himself alone 6. Bhhaiyaji hires Superhero(Akshay Kumar) to find Jimmy. Superhero catches Jimmy, Chamiya and Dude in some desert in Rajasthan. Chamiya exposes in bikini, gives some gyaan on BRA (that was wird part in movie) and some nonsense. 7. They travel through New york, flirting, fighting smiling, singing doing wierd things to extend the length of movie. Twist occurs and Jimmy and Bachchan Pandey realises that they are in love (YO MAN, it's a KARAN JOHAR movie, u shouldn't forget it, anything can happen). 8. Bhhaiyaji and DUDE arrives togeather at scene. Chamiya cries with emotion and reveals she is in love to Bhhaiyaji but still she is a BHARATIYANAARI. Her love is DUDE. Jimmy and Bachchan play emotional with some lecture to Bhhaiyaji and some from Dude. 9. Dude goes to Chamiya, catches her hand and tries to takes her to the car. SLOW MOTION scene. Chamiya sees that Bhhaiyaji is taking her to DUDE and smiles. Everyone rejoice and Bhhaiyaji hand over her hand to Dude. 10. Party Sharty with film ending with a line "Love Speaks BLAH BLAH...." Output of movie: Less nonsense, full of Emotions, no fight scenes, some wierd stuff, Promotion of Western culture, lot of discussions on Koffee with Karan. The SANJAY BANSALI Style: 1. Chamiya is a blind girl who is married to illitrate Bhhaiyaji, both with a will to learn english. 2. Bhhaiyaji hires Jimmy(Salman Khan) to make them learn English. 3. Jimmy falls in love with Chamiya but escapes from Bhhaiyaji's fear to Italy. 4. Chamiya tries to learn English with much hard work and expresses her interest to bhhaiyaji that she in love with Jimmy.Bhhaiyaji realizes and He hires Bachchan Pandey to lookout for Jimmy and take Chamiya to her. 5. Bachchan Pandey travels to Italy and searches for Jimmy. He realizes that he falls in love with Chamiya as chamiya comes out to be her lost friend. 6. Bachchan Pandey now meets Jimmy accidentally and realize that Jimmy is the one. He decides to take Chamiya to Jimmy. Chamiya is confused. 7. Chamiya impresses Jimmy by speaking in English finally and Jimmy is extremely happy. 8. Chamiya realizes that even she is in love with Bachchan Pandey and leaves Jimmy for Bachchan Pandey. Output of Movie: Very Less Nonsense, emotions, less fight scenes, no exposure, and good performances and awards. Guys, Above was the effect of TASHAN on a strong minded person like me and can even effect you badly. Avoid it. Still if you wanna go for an adventure, watch it only in group may be on DVD or in a local theater. This movie will definitely make you realise the importance of money and time. its a very bad tempt to make a mafia comedy. please see this movie to see how a good cast can be wasted.... to see how to write and direct a bad movie. how to see a cycle rickshaw and a water jet scooter and the whole of India in one frame..... wake up film makers.... look around the world has changed

This movie makes Jhoom Barabar Jhoom a classic. Another miserable production from Yash Raj stable. Akki was good,& that's all. Anil Kapoor was terribly bad. Avoid this movie at any cost.

I dont know why this is called a film. i expected a lot from the movie but was disappointed. I thought its a cartoon.

BEWARE OF TASHERIA!! KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM CINEMA HALLS!! CARRY CROCIN, DISPRIN OR A GUN WITH YOU!! i never expected this from askhay!! how did he sign such a pathetic movie...yash raj has presented the akshay in the worst possible manner. I felt i am watching sunni deol (of gadar) instead of akshay. #fighting with 50-70 black cat commandors(all equipped with guns) alone and emerging as winner #jumping like a ninja from one place to another #guns being fired from all over the place, yet not even a single hits him #digging out a khabma and rotating it round to kill gundes(sunny deol did same with hand pump in gadar) #figting with chinki fighters in UP(wat the hell they were doing there!) #blast, fire and yet emerging out without any damage to him or car if u are getting the feeling that akshay was pathetic then mind u, he was the best( u can imagine if this is the best then....) # anil kapoor trying to run away in a rikshaw. If that was not all, the way karrena killed him was nothing less that hilarious # saif ali khan finding a race boat in UP village with no river around. If thatt was not all, the way he drove it was nothing less than hilarious # akshay kumar and kareena kapoor...... i am sorry... but i cant write more about it. My mind does not permit me otherwise it will go out of control and i might commit sucide (see wat an impact it is having on me that too when i m only writing about it) the biggest impcat of the movie has been that it has reduced a word from the dictionery of cool words, the word TASHAN

Does not deserve more stars than these... It is not necessary that multi-starrer movies should excel... In this case, there is no reason why it should excel. What I was looking for in this movie.. like others.. Saif- Kareena or Saif-Akshay role. None of the pairs work.. Kareena bugs to the core.. back to Over-acting... Akshay and Saif do well... Anil kapoor has good dialogues to deliver but there's no TASHAN feeling... Story is good .. but the movie loses it way thanks to the director. Action is unbelievable and super natural.... but not acceptable. Music is bad... Vishal-shekar's first failure. Taking some positives like Akshay kumar, n Saif, and if you are looking to pass your time.. then watch it once.

Naah!, gimme a break, I mean I thought that we had outgrown overdone overcooked action, uhhh, the movie is the Indian Matrix, but we are complaining. The story itself is something about Kareena stealing 25 Crores and running. Its not that kinda movie I expected for anticipation was great, i wanted some real stuff, but there was only Tashan, and no substance. If you wanna watch the movie, do so for Akshay and Anil, they steal the whole show with their acting, Akshay riding on peak form. Kareena is one dumb babe!(not so dumb too) and Saif is OK (handlebar looks good though), the director is really interested in some Tashan, but the movie could have been better without some. Songs are awesome, so that you'll have some exciting moments, uhh, excuse me, don't watch it it if you are decent.

The acting of all actors are very good specially Anil Kapoor acted very well. Picturization of songs are not bad. The story line up is somewhat good and was made fun by the acting of actors but the climax is not good at all which makes the blunder of the film at the end.

Bade bade stars ko cast karke, ek ghatiya story pe ghatiya presentation ke sath unse ghaitya acting karwana. Yahi hai Yash Raj films ka Tashan. At least that's what seems after watching last few films (except Chak De) from Yash Raj Banner. I think distributors of Tashan knew that the movie is not worth 200 Rs, that is why they haven't released it in multiplexes. I did not expect the most awaited film of the year to be like this. That too when Akshaya Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor are a part of the film. I mean whatever these four are touching turns into gold these days, but alas Yash Raj Films could not benefit from them and have given all four of them a flop (may be) after a long run of hits at box office.

The movie is about Pooja (Kareen) who works for Bhaiyaji (Anil). Pooja hires Jimmy (Saif), a call center employee to teach Bhaiyaji English. Jimmy falls in love with Pooja while teaching English to Bhaiyaji. Both of the decide to run away with Bhaiyaji's 25 crore. Here comes the man everyone was so desperately waiting for after being bored by watching badly shot scenes with some even worse dialogues, ten headed Akshaya Kumar. Akshaya's Bacchan Pande, who is a collection agent in Kanpur is sent after Pooja and Jimmy to recover the money. Entire second half is about the chase and many badly shot senseless action sequences.

Frankly speaking, after watching Tashan I have realized that "Cash" wasn't that bad, this one is even worse. There is some story but nobody cares when the same is presented so badly. Akshaya Kumar is the only one who impresses (again) with his acting. Yash Raj Films owes everything this movie earns to Akshaya and Kareena (for 3 seconds of bikini shot). Only watchable scene where Akshaya Kumar is not there is Kareena in bikini but alas that lasts only 3 seconds. Anil Kapoor irritates with his badly written dialogues. Saif has nothing great to do in the film. Songs sound good but when you watch them they don't look that great. Overall the movies is a big disaster only saving grace for the movie is Akhsaya Kumar and he has also been made to so much silly stuff that he also looks stupid in many scenes.
I would rate this one as two out ten, one for Akshaya Kumar and one for Kareena Kapoor in bikini.
