Reality stretched to boredom..... its a good movie but definitely not a must watch genre. It has glimpse of literally all the major stars.... in the industry... but fails to keep us intrested... Konkana is impressive in the movie and no songs are that play it again types......
Moral of the story is good but could have been much much better...
This movie was over hyped to a certain extent. The movie was not bad either, but there was nothing spectacular or intense from this movie that made me to think of it once i left the screen. I felt it could have been much better if the screen time was reduced by some 30 mins.
Irony of the movie: Shows the struggle of new actors trying to make it big in film industry, very few able to do it coz they are not son of famous director or actor.
But farhan gets succesfull in his struggle as shown in reel life and he does'nt have any bollywood connection.
And here in reality you have zoya akhtar making it big in her directional debut, farhan akhtar bieng praised after his second acting performance. Is bollywood really welcoming new talented actors for main lead or its just reserved for children of bollywood personalities
Zoya relieves Madhur Bhandarkar in making a movie on the Mumbai Film Industry. Its so realistic, you feel you are watching another in the series of Corporate, Traffic Signal, Fashion...Zoya goes a step further by keeping the screenplay absolutely taut. All artists give 110%. And even the cameos are full of impact. You can feel the tension and the trauma of actors. Konkana and Farhan are superb. And last but not the least, the titles at the beginning of the movie touch you, as they are in stark departure from any other titles that you may have seen. Creative freedom...used so responsibly.
A very well made movie. Great onscreen chemistry between Farhan and Konkona. The characters of Vikram and Sona are tailor-made for both of them. The music is quite melodious and the performances are praiseworthy. The best part is the unusual climax- totally unpredictable! A must-watch for everyone!
