I absolutly adore dis muvie! It may have a few gross scenes and lotz of swear wordz...... but seriously itz an awesum muvie! Lurved It! Though I thought dat Kareena and Akshay kinda showed off in dat muvie or ova did dere rolez but still I thought it was an awesum muvie! MUST WATCH!!!!!! Ohh! and add meh as a fwend!

Variation on The Taming of the Shrew

Gorgeous girl needs to be taken down a peg or two as she feels her sister should not be marrying a mere stuntman. Male chauvinist pig brother feels women are only good for two things - sex and more sex! While there is much fun had at the expense of our leading lady, very little is done to show our leading man has much to learn as well. Good fun though. Obviously they end up falling in love and live happily ever after.

 I found some of the humour very interesting, in that at times I appeared to be the only person laughing out loud whereas during some of the more slapstick scenes, the rest of the audience seemed to really enjoy that. Give me a good script any day!

Kambakkth Ishq is a crude version of the Tamil movie Pammal K Sambandham.

Viraj (Akshay Kumar), a stuntman in Hollywood, is a player and Simrita (Kareena Kapoor), a model cum surgeon, is a feminist and they both meet at Lucky's (Viraj's brother played by Aftab) and Kamini's (Simrita's best friend played by Amrita) wedding and can't stand each other. Simrita forgets a watch in Viraj's intestines while performing an operation and tries to seduce him so that she can retreive the watch. The rest of the movie is about the battle between the sexes and how they fall in love.

Kambakkht Ishq is a remake (may be copied - the story hasn’t been credited though) of the Tamil movie 'Pammal K. Sambandam' and the screenplay is credited to four writers but it’s basically the same screenplay as the Tamil one except that it's obscene, crude and vulgar. The setting is changed to Hollywood which itself is ludicrous. Now Why would an Indian stuntman be a body double to caucasian Hollywood actors. He is shown riding horses (Man those Hollywood actors can't even ride horses) and in the very first scene itself, Akshay plays body double to Brandon Routh but is shorter than him. Setting the movie in Hollywood and having actors in bit roles is all a gimmick. The movie could have been set in Bollywood itself.
