The movie starts with AB’s voice giving you the history details of the film to unfold (so the movie is not difficult to understand). Jalaluddin from a young age was made to go to the battlefield.
There are two battlefield fights, one is the scene with elephants, both of them are in the beginning of the film and in the end of the film there is a battle field ready but there is one to one fight but major part of the film is a love story. The story unfolds and you are told why Jodhaa’s father had to go to Akbar and ask him to marry his daughter. The rest of the film is the relationship between Jalal and jodha and the mothers.
Hrithik looks so HANDSOME and acts so convincingly that I was all the time wondering how this man manages to do this every time, even in a sceen where both HR and Ash are together your eyes stay on hrithik.
Ash looks very good and beautiful in some scenes and looks ordinary in some she has given a restricted performance.
All the supporting actors are just perfect for the role given to them be it Sonu Sood, Poonam, Dheer, Khulbhusan kharbanda, Raza Murad some actors names I don’t know they too were very good. I cant pick up any person and say this one was not up to the mark, only wish knew all the actors names.
Songs Khwaja mere khaja is the 1st song this is only song where much does not happen. Man Mohana- is in parts Ash singing and then background. Jash n bahara – also in parts as and as hrithik is falling in love with her Azeem O shann- SUPERBE TERRIFIC song En Lamho – when finally jodhaa accepts Akbar background + they sing –in this song is pictured very romantically without going overboard a husband wife type of song. They both make it HOT/STEAMY.
During all the songs (leave khwaja) there is something happening, the picturization and choreography leave you wonderstruck.
Scenes I loved After Ash finishes her prayers to lord Krishna and holds the aarti thali in front of hrithik and he does not know what to do with it – both of them talk with their eyes. The elephant taming The sword practicing – topless muscles rippling hrithik and Ash just gaping at him. The confrontation between Jodhaa and Ila arun The scene where Ash asks to meet hrithik alone before marriage- the anger in hrithiks eyes is worth a watch. Hrithik mistrust Ash. Many scenes of hrithik when he has to take decisions as a king/as a brother as a son.
I can go on and on…………..
All in all a total commercial film having love, hatred, suspicion, betrayal but in a different era- The mughal era. |

Ashutosh Gowariker’s epic JODHA AKBAR is a classic tale of love after marriage & the coming of age of a young emperor . Ashutosh proves with this one that he is Indias finest filmmaker as only he can deliver a hattrick of movies which will be remembered for years to come in Hindi Cinema . All 3 movies are a great amalgamation of art & entertainment as well as extremely different in terms of content . Asutosh’s screenplay have one thing in common , great moments which will linger in your heart even after one has seen the movie –1. the sword fighting scene between the Hrithik & Ash produces a rare sexual energy ever seen 2. the Khwaja Song where Hrithik is completely immersed in the powers of the Almighty along with the Bhajan were he has almost the same effect is superb . te film has many more such beautiful moments & add to that is his vision & scale on which he never comprises . an example of this are the huge sets , the big scale battle scenes (hardly ever seen in hindicinema ) which are realistically shot & will surely pump ones heartbeat , the beautifully mounted song ‘Marhabba’ is eye popping & rich in treatment as well as money . Ashutosh vision is greatly helped by the two protagonist –Hrithik plays Akbar like a true king , not once does Hrithik The star come to your mind when u see him perform , u completely take him to be the real vulnerable but good hearted Akbar completely dependent on his loyal ones .the voice modulation , the walk , the eyes all convey the much needed sense of royality to the audience. it is a character which Ashutosh has obviously written keeping the image of hindi film hero & nicely adding it to the larger than life persona of Akbar . the brilliance of Hrithik is superbly supported by Aishwariya Bhachan who proves yet again that if she is guided by a good filmamaker can give the best in the business competition . their superb performances are also a reason for their crackling chemistry . the confrontationscene where Hrithik is trying to convince her to come back with him & Ash not relenting is a real example of their superiorty . But the brilliance of the two is not quite replicated by the support cast which is average . though tere are some brilliance like the man who plays Hrithiks guardian in the beginning or the actor who plays the eunch , the main cast comprising of Sonu Sood (average) , Dheer , Poonam Sharma ( cant act ) , Illa Arun(hams) . but the 2 leads old the film . Asutoshs writing & Direction as mentioned is brilliant , though there are few scenes which linger a tad too long & could have been shortened & would have helped the length of the film . music is divine , Rahmans compositions touch your heart slowly like Amrit jal & make u pure . The Lyrics are superbly rendered . The cinematography is a dream , it changes beautifully in transforming us to a fantasy land which is beautiful to the battle scenes , shot in an apt rustic manner . the sound recording is brilliant . u get to hear each & every sound right from the voice of the elephants to the sound of the bangles which makes the watching the movie greater fun . Editing could have been tighter s a few scenes are a tad too long as mentioned before . Action is the kind hardly seen in hindi cinema ever absolute classic . Background score has te right blend of melody & thrill which adds to the beauty. In conclusion , Jodha Akbar is definitely Indias finest film on a real life character & will certainly be counted as a classic in times to come . I m certainly looking forward to DVD to absorb the magic of thismovie again |

After just about tolerating all the semi comical and amateurish stuff on television I had been expectantly waiting for a long time for an Indian movie maker to do justice to a historical/period movie. Jodha Akbar was a trifle disappointing but not a total disaster either. In today’s times when the attention span of the audience is progressively on the descendent holding interest for three and a half hours is no mean feat. My disappointment as usual lies in the lack of direction of the story. The director is clearly confused on what he wants to present. It’s Akbar the conqueror at first and the reluctant lover next. Suddenly the statesman in him manifests amongst the angst of the ruled and secular dialogues are spewed forth. Where does that leave the pretty Jodha? Her character development is a little better. From a bride made out of political compulsions of her father to the Empress of Hindustan having an unbending will of her own, Aishwarya has conducted herself with élan. Her eyes flash a million expressions. The supposed love story and the impact it had on the Indian polity (as we are reminded at the end) remains half baked but interesting in patches. It is inevitable that comparison with movies of similar genre be made and well, the good old ones like Mughal-e-Azam, Anarkali score higher in a lot many areas. For once the music of A R Rehman did not sound fetching except the song “Khwaza mere khwaza” which is a masterpiece of flawless performance and execution. Hritik’s sway to the beats of this song was synonymous with the devotion with which it has been sung by Rehman. One of his best, I reckon. Although Hritik looked fetching to the moony eyed girls in the hall, he lacks the gravitas and regal demeanor expected of a scion of the Mughal dynasty. But since he and Prithvi Raj Kapur potrayed different ages of Akbar a comparison would be unfair. However JA has been eminently successful in recreating the feel of the times it talks about. The photography is superb. The forts, desert, costumes and the princely splendor of Rajasthan has been captured with an expert’s eye for detail. Reportedly Neeta Lulla designed more than three thousand costumes for the movie. Her hard work shows and beautifully so. The battle scenes are good and gory but again no match for those of Mughal-e Azam. Gowariker missed a trick here. K Asif had hired the services of 63rd(or is it 61st) Cavalry for the war scenes. Computer graphics could have been a good substitute but they are atrociously expensive. However for the sheer scale of production and for the spectacle value I would rate the movie pretty high. Some of the scenes are unbelievably real especially where Hritik tames a wild elephant. The single combat at the climax, although a-la Troy is pretty engrossing and full of energy. Some howlers are there but they are inevitable I guess. Just imagine, a full house “Deewane-e Aam” is adjourned because Aishwarya decides to sing a bhajan to Lord Krishna in a voice loud enough to reverberate in the corridors where state business is being transacted. My wife, however, was pretty charitable saying “Bhai, who Raja hai. Kuchh bhi kar sakta hai”. Agreed but I cannot forgive the next. The king is seriously wounded and unconscious with the medicine men pronouncing the worst possible prognosis. The queen instead of holding his hand or assisting in medication goes in for divine intervention and sure enough the next morning he opens his eyes. Sigh, it will take some time for us to come out with a Benhur or a Cleopatra. But till then the likes of Jodha Akbar will do. |

PROLOGUE OOOH LA LA,, the movie is here and i chased it like a crazy female across the ahmedabad as no multiplex is showing it ( some yudh between the Distributors and Multiplex owners for the moolah..) So at last here i am sitting dazzled and lil bit glazed from the experience named Jodha Akbar. Review The name should be Actually Akbar and Akbar coz i find this character better written and dynamic then the Jodha's. The Akbar or Jalal played Theek theek by Hritvik Roshan is really a round character which evolves with the film but Ash as the jodha inspite of Haute Coutre Jewellery and colourful, gota tucked duppatas lacks the fire .Her boldness is shown , when she demands protection of religious sentiments and bas this is it. The Palace saga is all encompassing intrigue, dissonance, mutiny, nefariousness, deception, romance, thrill, great action and shadiyantras.. The sets r dazzling and leaves audiences during the initial intoduction mouth gaped and eyes popped,, the Aish also leaves the same impact ( i heard a fan calling Aish as Apsara ).The film starts with a great, well executed fighting scence to establish then 13 yr. old Jalal as the Ruler of India . Then the movie progressess with the winding path of plot and sub- plots. The movie i dare say , is rather long ( almost 3.45 min. ) and still leave much to long and wont for. The Cinematography is out of this world and editing lil slack,, but scriptwriter is the person ashutosh should send to Mecca as its really loose at someplace. Some scences gives the impression of director lingering on them and thus not cutting it at the right time , like the sword fighting scene of Jodha & Akbar . I will be commiting great paap if i dont mention and appreciate acting of Sonu Sood as Suja Mal and Dheer as Sharifuddin..The songs 'Jashne- Bahara" is a true love song, the background music is horrendus . EPILOGUE The movie deserves one watch..Dont try to get your history right by this movie PER Se Geography just try to enjoy the Chemistry. The look of total rapture and wonder on the face of roshan when he sees Jodha first time leaves true lovers dry-mouthed, i am sure. And haan when Aish speaks, try to look at the jewellary or anything else or you will be disillusioned . P.s : Was that the wobbly chin or the Double chin ( of Aish ...) |

Not often we see such movies in bollywood. Not often we can be witness to such magnificant, splendid and opulant regalia on Indian silver screen. Not often we see such dream casting. Hollywood has graced us with Troy, Braveheart, etc. But barring Mughal-e-Azam and few other movies, we can not remember historical or period film which is so apart the league and above all the junk we are served regularly. Jodha Akbar indeed is lavish royal fairytale. --- read detailed review on my website www.bollywoodreviews.net feel free to post comments using the comment link below each review. --- prashen h kyawal |

Jodha Akbar is an Excellent Movie. Ashuto Govarikar has proved once again his talent. Hritik & Ash look charming. They performed very well. Cinematography is wonderful. Art direction and Costumes' designing are world class. Over all , this is an excellent movie. |

Jodha Akbar: Lost in a Yudh-War
jodha lost in a yudh-war] if there ever was a war fought for so many lost causes, then it would have to be this tale of the great mogul retold in the most insipid manner with as many historical fantasies as a phantasmagoric mind can conjure ,never mind its miscast ,misconceived and misdirected from the word go .akbar is mr roshan who looks like a steroid gym bunny with the squeaky voice of a mouse, who spends ihis spare time taming toothless elephants and doing some ninja routines with his shirt off in the palace courtyard a la jackie chan, his virginal wife is a rajput princess who is married against her will as a political pawn, but insists on keeping her virginity for some unexplained reasons, while singing devotional songs ,badly tuned by mr.a.r,rehman,who also is responsible for the most inept background musical score in a historical epic,it varies from screeching to plain out of tune quawallis, poor jodha [ash]is left a sulking virgin as a result of a deadly misunderstanding created by akbars protective WET NURSE,PLAYES AWFULLY BY ILA ARUN in easily the worst performance since stone age,as the bride is sent packing back home, a horde of political conspiracies are being hatched by the vamp and villain and this becomes a typical bollywood formula of boy meets girl, loses girl ,sings songs and live happily ever after, but frankly by that time i was too fed up to endure this audio-visual torture and it is a royal torture in the true sense as it is over 3 hours long ,with a mix of everything that hollywood and bollywood have made since 1940 in the name of historical epics, the script borrows shamelessly from troy to mughaleazam to meera ,except come up with some really decent dialogue or even a remotely dramatic sense of proportion, the supporting cast looks more like a motley gang of clowns from a circus then a royal court and the urdu accents are atrocious ,the queen mum is kept standing in the court while akbar and his courtiers feast seated ,and we are talking of the queen hameeda bano, who has a magnificent edifice built in her memory by her son in delhi, the factual distortion is so screwed up you cant even say they are loopholes ,in fact its a canal through which you can sail the titanic, but that shipping disaster is nothing compared to this humorless ,dry as a bone epic, devoid of any juice or spice, this is even worse the last years taj mahal and that was bad enough.this is total hokum with sets which look like colors smudged onto the screen as if the moguls, who built wonders would bear to even go near these technicolour idiosyncracies which resemble the abodes of common nautch girls then sheesh mahal ,so painstakingly constructed by the great k.asif for mughaleazam ,shame on gowarikar and everyone associated with this third rate rip off , mr .roshan take some elocution and acting lessons, for its simply not enough to just have a hunky physique to make it as a HOLLYWOOD HOPEFUL,you also need some God given talent, which both mrs bachan and mr roshan are badly in need of, but unfortunately talent does not grow on trees.

Cast: Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai
Direction: Ashutosh Gowariker
I've never felt this way about any other film, but sitting there in my seat watching Jodhaa Akbar, I felt privileged as a moviegoer. Privileged that such a film had been made, and privileged that it had been made in our times so we can form our own opinions of the film rather than adopt the opinions of previous generations, which we invariably must when looking at older classics.
A drama of epic proportions, Jodhaa Akbar is at its core an intimate love story that's set against the spectacular sweep of the Mughal era. It's about the romance that gradually blossoms between Emperor Akbar and his wife Jodhaa, the Rajput princess with whom he enters into a marriage of alliance. It's also the coming of age story of the greatest Mughal ruler, who goes from a reluctant warrior to a brave and honorable leader and wins over his people with his empathy and his secular outlook.
Magnificently directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Jodhaa Akbar draws you into its drama just moments into the film, transporting you to the battlefield, to the emperor's court, to Jodhaa's private chamber, and most importantly, into the mind and heart of Mohammed Jalaluddin Akbar himself, where he grapples with betrayals and insecurities.
It's the kind of film that doesn't quite let go of your attention well after the end credits have rolled some three hours and 20 minutes later.
Much will be said about the film's daunting length, and truth is, it could have been shorter. I can think of at least two subplots that could have been judiciously trimmed. But having said that, I honestly believe the length of Jodhaa Akbar doesn't hurt. You are swept into the roller-coaster ride of Akbar's political and personal growing-up journey, and it's not often that the screenplay loses its pace.
The film's best moments are the ones between the protagonist couple. Take that scene in which he catches her sight transfixed on his bare torso, or that sword fight between the couple that's bubbling with sexual energy. Even that delicate scene in which he reveals to his wife an awkward truth about his education. Or then that moving scene in which he vindicates her honour by demanding to be served his lunch in the same plates she ate out of just moments ago in a tense situation.
Truth is, Jodhaa Akbar works like a dream when it focuses its energies on the relationship between the couple ? their little spats, their mischievous moments, his heeding her advice, and the like.
As a big, period epic, Jodhaa Akbar has enough drama to keep you engaged ? palace intrigue, violent confrontations and impressive battle sequences.
The scenes that stand out for their sheer visceral impact can be ticked off a checklist ? first that breathtaking scene in which the emperor tames a wild elephant, also the one in which he gives in to his rage and orders a cruel death to a traitor, and finally that one-on-one combat scene in the climax, inspired no doubt from Troy. These are moments all that stay with you long after you've left your seat.
There is ample evidence of the fact that Gowariker once again assembles the perfect team to realise his vision. Kiran Deohans' cinematography is one of Jodhaa Akbar's key strengths, and nowhere is that more apparent than the battle scenes which Deohans' camera captures gloriously, making you feel like you're right out there where the action is.
His visual treatment for the film's songs is another masterstroke, in particular the eye-watering manner with which he films the Khwaja mere khwaja number, and also the lavish indulgence of the Azeem-o-shaan-shahenshah song.
Then there's Neeta Lulla's costumes and Nitin Desai's sets, both suitably ostentatious, but never once drawing attention away from the drama like they have previously in films like Sanjay Leela Bhansali?s Devdas. Of course, Jodhaa Akbar benefits enormously from AR Rahman's genius score, a collection of the finest, most haunting tunes you can remember recently, my favourites being the unforgettable Jashne Baharaa number and the one-of-a-kind Khwaja mere Khwaja track.
The soul of Jodhaa Akbar however, lies in the superlative acting. Supporting player Nikitin Dheer makes a lasting impression as Akbar's rebellious brother-in-law, but the film of course belongs to the two leads.
As Jodhaa, the sometimes-feisty-sometimes-graceful leading lady, Aishwarya Rai is wonderfully restrained and uses her eyes expertly to communicate so much, making this one of her finest outings on screen.
Hrithik Roshan, as Akbar, oozes confidence and delivers a career-best performance as the unflinching emperor. Not only does he transform physically to become the part, he gets under the emotional skin of the character and makes it his own. I cannot think of any other actor who could play this better.
Fact or fiction, Jodhaa Akbar is an engaging, involving movie-going experience, and puts Gowariker right up there on the very short list of India 's finest filmmakers. It's a modern masterpiece that will be celebrated for years to come.

Ashutosh Gowarikar said in one of his interviews, Jodha Akbar is an epic romance. I just want to ask, why? How this romance was different from the life of any average Indian couple, whose marriage is an arranged one. In an arranged also marriage both persons don't know each other and they get to know about each other by living together and observing each other's life style. Like our many TV serials, here also there is an scheming mother-in-law (kind of), trying to destroy the developing love. How many times have we seen people marrying each other for political or business advantage, in our movies, serials and in real life as well. Then why this is an epic romance and others not. May be because this involves one of the most celebrated character of Indian history or may be because of the money involved in making this film or the sets. This somehow looked like a movie made by Rajshree Productions.
People who might go to watch this movie for getting the feel of Moghul era, the wars fought during that time or the politics. This movie is not about all that. This movie is entirely about one arranged marriage and the couple sort out their differences and fall for each other. One of the biggest disadvantage for this film is, it's length. The run time is too long.
The movie starts with voice of Amitabh Bacchan giving a brief about Moghul history and how Jalaluddin became emperor and how Bairam Khan helped empire grow. You are shown one war scene, which failed to impress me. Akbar is grows up and decides to take his decisions and we are shown that he doesn't want slaves or to kill people. He wants to rule their heart. In the mean while we get to know that Jodhabai's marriage to Ratan Singh is called off because Jodha's father, king of Amer, decides to surrender to Moghuls. This leads to an agreement between King of Amer and Akbar, and the first condition of the agreement is that Akbar will have to marry Jodhabai. Jodha reluctantly decides to go by his father's decision, with a little resistance of course. Then starts family drama. There you find husband and wife sleeping in different beds. Husband trying to impress his wife by showing his body and some skill with sword and wife trying to impress husband by cooking food for him. Then there is Maham Manga, who doesn't want the relationship to grow. By interval some confusion develops between husband and wife, curtsy Maham Manga. But as happens in every Hindi film, by the end everything is hunky dory between the couple.
I don't know the history behind Jodha Akbar but if what is shown in this movie, this doesn't look like a great story. Dialogs sometime are not consistent with the language spoken during that time, but such incidents are quite few, so can be ignored. I don't know how Akbar looked like, but somehow I didn't feel like I was looking at one of the most talked about emperor of Moghul era, by looking at Hritik in the movie. He neither talks like an emperor nor walks like one. Aishwarya somehow looks convincing. All the songs seem too long and make you feel restless. The pace of the movie is another weak point, the movie could have been better if the length was somewhere around two hours, but this one is almost 3 hour 15 mins. More value has been given to the sets than the story.
Overall, I didn't like the movie, but would like you to give it a try, because a lot of money and effort has gone into making this film and who knows, you might like it. My rating to this film is 5 out of 10. |

hi friends>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal Emperor, Akbar and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. Politically, success knew no bounds for Emperor Akbar, After having secured the Hindu Kush, he furthered his realm by conquest until his empire extended from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godhavari River. Through a shrewd blend of tolerence, generosity and force, Akbar won the allegiance of the Rajputs, the most belligerent Hindus. But little did Akbar know that when he married Jodhaa, a fiery Rajput princess, in order to further strengthen his relations with the Rajputs, he would in turn be embarking upon a new journey - the journey of true love. The daughter of King Bharmal of Amer, Jodhaa resented being reduced to a mere political pawn in this marriage of alliance, and Akbar's biggest challenge now did not merely lie in winning battles, but in winning the love of Jodhaa - a love hidden deep below resentment and extreme prejudice. Jodhaa Akbar is their untold love story. |

Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. Political success knew no bounds for Emperor Akbar (Hrithik Roshan). After having secured the Hindu Kush, he furthered his realm by conquest until his empire extended from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godavari River. Through a shrewd blend of diplomacy, intimidation and brute force , Akbar won the allegiance of the Rajputs. But little did Akbar know that when he married Jodhaa (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a fiery Rajput princess, in order to further strengthen his relations with the Rajputs, he would in turn be embarking upon a new journey – the journey of true love. The daughter of King Bharmal of Amer, Jodhaa resented being reduced to a mere political pawn in this marriage of alliance, and Akbar’s biggest challenge now did not merely lie in winning battles, but in winning the love of Jodhaa – a love hidden deep below resentment and extreme prejudice. Jodhaa-Akbar is their untold love story. Before going for the movie, I was told by a friend that the fight sequences are ripped from from the movie Troy but there were hardly any fight sequences in the movie. Actually only 2. Many people were concerned about the longer duration of the movie but once the movie starts, you will never ever realize that it was 3 and half hour long. The scenes were handled so well that you won’t get bored for a single moment. (Must applaud director Ashutosh Gowarikar for that) I really loved few scenes in the movie… specially the scene where Akbar is trying to control an elephant, the scene where Jodhaa cooks the food for Akbar and she is asked to taste it before giving it to Akbar.. I really loved the way Jodhaa handled that scene.. even Akbar’s reply was fantastic.. also the sword fight between Jodhaa and Akbar was very good.. actually the list doesn’t end here . Apart from great direction, the music plays a very important role in the movie, be it the background music or the songs.. music was just fantastic..I must salute A.R.Rahman for that. He is a genius, if you listen to the music carefully, you will find so many instruments involved in a single song.. take example of the song, Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah, just listen to it carefully, so many instruments.. I really loved all the songs but Khwaja Mere Khwaja takes the top place. Even Jashn-E-Bahaara and In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein were very good. Also the background score was very interesting.. from folk songs to various instruments, it had everything. The choreography was just too good. Khwaja Mere Khwaja, a sufi number was handled superbly. It was more like a spiritual song with very few dance moves but handled very well. But the treat was Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah. More than 300 dancers? Just imagine how difficult it would have been. It was a royal treat watching that song. I really loved the way it was shot, loved those aerial views. Cinematography by Kiran Deohans was worth praising. I loved the views of Akbar’s palace, so beautiful. On the acting front, the chemistry between Hrithik and Aishwarya were fantastic. They both make a perfect couple. Hrithik was very good as mugal emperor, a strong character who knows his job well and does not care what other people think about it. One cannot think better Akbar than Hrithik. Aishwarya was impressive too, a beautiful princess who is strong and brave from inside. Apart from the lead characters, Sonu Sood was pretty good as Rajkumar Sujamal, I also liked the character of Maham Anga played by Ila Arun, a very strong character with lots of gray shades. So to sum it up, Jodhaa Akbar is a very good movie with great direction by Ashutosh Gowarikar. It is definitely a must watch. |

As nowadays, the filmmakers ahve got the pulse of media and foreign investors or corporates right, Jodha Akbar is a big disappoinment. Ashutosh Gowarikar seems to have lost the focus on the story. He must get this one thing right , NOT EVERY MOVIE ON A PERIOD TOPIC can be made. What the hell is the filmmaker doing with the story? The story neither justifies the battle track nor the love story. Not a single stunt is of Hollywood class. Technically, our stunt directors must go to Hollywood as interns to learn the stunt coordination. Cinematography is not the class of Lagaan. Nitin Desai and Neeta Lulla are loudable. AR Rehman and Javed Akhtar are so so. On the whole, all the hype it generated and damage it did to the society, Jodha Akbar is worth peanuts, like no body no soul. - Prasad Satkalmi (Member- WGA, Los Angeles) |
