Overall Rating

We had a chance to see this film at a local multiplex. This picture was released at the main single screen cinemas and multiplex of Karachi. We are compelled to say that it is not a good movie. Rotten Punjabi themes, infusion of Punjabi pattern of music simply does not work. Audience are now fed up with rotten Punjabi lyrics which are injected by the movie makers.

Our friend owns a commercial cinema in Karachi and the turn out after week one is very low, that clearly shows that the large segment of audience have rejected this film despite the fact that it has RANI MUKHERJI in the lead cast. SHAHID may be popular nowadays but we strongly feel he will not be able to stay in the main trek commercial cinema. Mr SHAHID KAPOOR has to engross himself in better and well scripted films rather than indulging himself in cheap routine films. People do not come to cinema house to see the looks of a star they in-fact come to see overall performance of the team which appear on the screen.

The central idea of this film is stale and used in numerous films and on this ground alone the film will be discarded by the masses.

There is another major drawback in the film----the pair of the older RANI and younger fellow SHAHID miserably fails to materialize. However RANI tries hard to play her role but fails to hit the right chords. Photography of the film is no doubt a bit over average but the music department makes it a BOMB. We reiterate that the audience literally is fed up with such stale themes and film makers are kindly advised to refrain from using same formula over and over again particularly the induction of Punjabi texture.

The film is bound to flop in the mega city of Karachi and considerable investment would go in the drain-------------- However, there is a thin chance that this movie might make a few bucks at the local multiplexes.    Natasha T. ALi, SYED ALI, Faisal Haider and Neha = Karachi Pakistan

On a scale of one to ten it only merits 3.5/10. Highly---- disappointing film despite its release under a good banner.
