A NRI BOY COME TO INDIA WITH HIS GRANNY. THE MIXTURE OF RAMAYANA AND MONKEY MAN ALONG WITH THE COMMUNAL UNITY IS THE KEY POINT OF THE MOVIE. PRIORITY TOWARDS THE DREAM AND PEOPLE IN PREY OF IT. A MATURE SUBJECT CAN SEE IF YOU ARE REALLY A GOOD EYE KEEPER AS THE STORY IS BONDED WITH LOTS OF EXPECTATION AND A PEOPLE SEEING THE MOVIE HAVE TO FEEL WHAT THE DIRECTOR REALLY WANT TO SAY. SONGS ARE ACCORDINGLY PERFECT. ABHISHEK BACCHAN AT HIS BEST, VAHIDA REHMAN ALONGWITH RISHI KAPOOR PLAYED A SENSIBLE ROLE. CAN WATCH.

Delhi6 is atotal bakwas film. I can't understand it's concept. Abhishek trying to speak like anN.R.I makes it worse. Sonam looks pretty inthe film but the truth is that she can't act.

Delhi-6 is a great, thought-provoking film with a brilliant ensemble of cast and the best technicians the industry has to offer.A great script, real characters who you can relate to...though it's called Delhi 6, it portrays a generic problem faced by any city...though, North Indians specially Dilliwallahs will surely relate to and love this film.Delhi-6 also has some great music, another masterstroke from AR Rahman, the guy just keeps getting better with every album.Last but not the least, another brilliant film from the ace director, Rakeysh of RDB fame...great cinematic experience.
The concept of seeing God in ourselves' shown with the help of a Mirror is so touching. the dialogue in soundtrack. 'Zarre Zarre mein usika noor hai...'.beautiful thought which can inspire alot.
It has brilliantperformances by Abhishek & Sonam. Abhishek grooving in Genda Phool is awesome, and Sonam is a delight to watch on screen...great screen presence.
Delhi 6, yet another great piece of work from Rakeysh...it’s about characters played by an assortment of artists like Waheeda Rehman, Atul Kulkarni, Rishi Kapoor, Divya Dutta, etc in small but effective roles & power packed performances.

Rakesh Mehera has an excellent creativity, really a hard work and it seems in the movie. the direction, music, cinematography, screenplay, lyrics ofcourse. the only i didnt like is his direction and story completely covers musical part(which excels).
Story strats in America and ends within us. Roshan(Abhishek) comes to India, "Dili" that too in dili 6 with her dadi(wahida) and find all places very crowdy but still alive. As story moves he experience everything which is the part of our tradition, culture like supersticiousness, dowery system,ect..
In between "kaala bandar" plays very important role. and finally opens up every one's head and shows them the real "you".
Abhishek is nice as usual, dont really have the opportunity to show up still need to mention one scene when he feels helpless and hun wahida(beautiful).Sonam looks amazing in western too. Other people like Atul kulkarni,Om puri ect...are perfect on their part and character.
Over all a movie worth watching. Dont look out for anyone's performance as there is no scope. it's more about storyline and direction. Enjoy....;)

Making a concept movie is very dangerous in Bollywood. Rakeysh did this once (Aks) and failed miserably. Still he was sure about this one, and man he succeeds by far. On a thin storyline of 'Black Monkey', Rakeysh has weaved such a strong movie. One just wonders how the connections are made. Movie starts with the aerial shot of Chandni Chowk. [the same in promo]. I got goosebumps all over. till a minute or so. And main theme starts unfolding. Suddenly we are taken to New York where Roshan and Grandma are about to leave. And comes to their ages old Haveli in Delhi. Till now we see grandeur journey of Delhi. Not the delhi which we are used to see, like Red Fort or President Bhavan. But real delhi with choked up roads, with mad people. With lively relations.
In the first half, which is light hearted, I was totally in love with the gully and nukkad of Chandni Chowk. One by one each of the fabulous ensemble cast is introduced. And that too, coming with a unique point. Unique moral is attached with each character. Like issue of being untouchable, being a muslim, being an unmarried sister who is getting older, dowry, being extreme hindu or a muslim; each characteristic is introduced along with the character. And that works the most for the movie.
The beautiful concept of 'seeing God in ourselves' shown with the help of a Mirror is so touching. I would love to make a special mention to it. Beautiful thought which can inspire a lot. This is why we got the dialogue in soundtrack. 'Zarre Zarre mein usika noor hai...'.
Another special mention is to 'Ramleela' scenes, which takes the movie forward at one by one points. Ramleela sets are done fantastically. I would love to be a part of such large magum opus.
Story is somewhat lagging in between the movie, because idea of the movie is quite different then usual. But its the screenplay, SUPERB cinematography and performances [including Rahman's - music] which holds the viewers. Editing is good cause movie gets wrapped up in perfect timing of 2.5 hours. ONe of the biggest strong point of the movie is its art direction and cinematography. One just can not identify whether any portion is shot on a set. Everything looks so real.
