Well, another Priyadarshan venture....This story is already told in other section...so without waisting much time let us look into the details...MBPA(Mere Baap Pehle Aap) is good comedy..mixed with some trying to be serious moments....the story is neither pacy nor that slow one.some may loose their interest in the middle as I did.But one thing is promised that never will let you down that is chemistry between Paresh Rawal(Baap) and Akshaye Khanna(Beta)...Comic timing of Akshaye is mindblowing. He leads all the way of the movie.Om Puri in an Ok-Ok type role.Genelia D'souza fans may be disappointed this time and the better wait for her next movie.Coz she has nothing much to do.The role doesn't suit her.She looks pretty cool and refreshing through out the movie. But she really has nothing much to do. Music is not upto the mark. The title track actually neither rock nor let viewers down.Other songs are not upto the mark.In Priyadarshan's earlier movies music had much hyped and good(Except Maalamal Weekly). But in this film........ Well in other catagories the film is not that bad.Actually,MBPA has not some hillarious moments that remains in Priyadarshan's other movies. But it is a good time pass movie..as there is no such big release with it..... As a Priyadarshan fan I will be waiting for his next venture and will play for that..... |

Hey you all the Filmy Fanatics……………By Popular requests and a huge Public Demand…………UD’s Back as always BETTER THAN EVER ….:D…..this time also with something you’ll remember for a long time………….Movie Reviews of SARKAR RAJ and SHURYA and MERE BAAP PAHELE AAP and Also Music Reviews of Janne tu ya Janne naa…………. And Ada by the all time greatest musician and the living legend……MR. A R Rahman…And this is not all…I am also offffering you with the preview Second Most Awaited movie of this year after Dashavtaram by Kamal Hasan……> DRONA… Starring Abhisheik And Priyanka…………… So are you ready to be rocked???????????????? Well……….Mere Bap Pahele Aap ( Hereafter MBPA….naam bahut lamba hai yaar …haahaha)…in A tiny Sentece can surely be disrobed as “ WHY MERE BAAP WHY ? ”……..and i am damn sure after reading this review you surely don’t wanna waste your money going into theatres or buying a DVD..you can watch it on T.V. after a month or two…hahahahah.i’m sure the theatres guy would not even run it for more than two weeks…..:D…….why?..read below… Ø Story : I must admit that the basic concept of letting the elderly have a life of their own and caring for them is very sweet. But, somehow the crassness with which it is done, did not gel with me. I still think that humor is a nice way to portray a father-son relationship. But, I just don’t understand why it has to be loud, long and lousy…. I reaspect the Concept but the Treatment just murdered it………. Ø Direction : The name Priyadarshan is synonymous with comic fares. It instantaneously conjures up images of several entertaining films he has attempted over the years. Naturally, you expect his new outing MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP to be a joyride as well. Even the promos of the film, beamed round the clock on TV, give an impression that it's a laugh-riot…But Hey Priyadarshan has totally lost it this time…….( Just see the Loop Holes below…:D)\ Ø Cast Performance : o yeah, Paresh Rawal, like always, tries to bring life to the trying-so-hard-to-make-you-laugh lines with his comic timing. This time is no better or no worse than others. Akshaye Khanna is screaming intolerably at the top of his voice half the time, which is like 75 minutes. And is it only me who thinks his dialogue delivery is going from bad to worse with each movie? He actually had extra pauses where none were warranted at a couple of places. Genelia looks pretty and plays her casual character alright. Whether she’s acting or just the way she is in real life, we’ll know only after she is 3-4 movies old…..And my God Priya Darshan Has just wasted one of the most talented actopr we have in our industry…Mr. Om Puri….so is wasteeed disastrously….is Rajpal Yadav ….PriyaDarshan’s Lucky Mascot…Archana Puran Singh was quite funny in between scenes….Others did a fair job in making you sleep in between….hahahahaha (Just See the loop Holes..) Ø Music : The lyrics and music of the songs are as generic as could be. Also the choreographer had the lead pair finish their gym/aerobic workout on set. And use of bikini-clad women for no particular reason has never been so blatant. So, cutting the songs out could only have helped the movie…Vidyasagar's music is a major disappointment. Barring the title track, which runs on the end credits, the other tracks are strictly Vokay. Ø Technicals : . Piyush Shah's cinematography is excellent and the stunning locales of Kerala act as icing on the cake. Dialogues deserve special mention. Some of the lines are truly well penned. Editing is the weakest link of the enterprise.in a Comic ovie it’s dilgues play a very vital role….But yaar Manisha Korde just made me cry..yaar is se achchiii Comedy to apna Anthu kar leta hai…hahaha..Screenplay was also boring coz Same goes for about another 15-20 minutes of the movie. There are unnecessary pauses and long dialogues which do nothing but elongate the runtime… Ø Loop Holes : Now this is my favorite part…..1.) The opening sequence will put your eternal optimism to rest. What with a bikini clad woman walking on to the shore of a beach. And Om Puri monkeying around in a black and red magician suit-meets-superhero costume is the final signature. Believe me, you cannot imagine how it hurts to use Om Puri and monkeying together in the same sentence….How could you treatSomeone like Om Puri like this?....... 2.) One factor that goes against the film is its length. The concept is truly novel -- for the Hindi screen at least -- but how one wishes Priyan would've controlled its length. Movies of 2 to 2.15 hours duration are fine, but 2.40 hours [add to it the promos of new films, plus interval makes it a 3-hour outing] is strictly no-no in today's times. Priyan should've brought down the length for sure!!!.Yaar Nind aa gayi mujhe toh….hahahaha……….3.) What was the point of having the entire crew go to Kerala when neither did the script need Kerala, nor did they manage to capture her intrinsic beauty….Yaar hum ko kerela nahi Picture dekhni hai….hahaahha…now read this…. Ø Parental Guidence : That is if you decide to see this yourself!!!....:D….:)).. - Violence: Not much, except maybe a couple of slapsticky slaps.
- Sexual content: There are a couple of toilet jokes and a couple songs with bikini-clad women dancing for no good reason.
- Concept: It is a portrayal of a possibly lovable father-son relationship. Nothing wrong with the base idea itself, just the execution is not really enjoyable.
- General Look and Feel: A few songs strewn across a light treatment of the subject.
All in all yaar I wished rather wondered yeh Picture Pryadarshan ne kyun banayi?...........Point Proven…..” Why Mere Baap Why? ” UD… |

Well the movie boast with good actors such as Paresh, Om & Akhshay Khanna. The Movie has nothing new to offer i went to see a comedy movie but its a below average comedy nothing special, priyan touch totally misses in Mere Baap Pehle Aap. The character between AKSHAY & PARESH its unrealstic, its a tasteless affair were Son totally controls his father, Om Puri is above average, Arachna Puran Singh roles has nothing to offer, Genellia roles is below average, nothing special, Parsh is also missing it touch. There is nothing to reveal in the story. Over ALL Its hard to spend 155 Rs TICKET FOR BELOW AVERAGE MOVIE. Its totally not a comedy film. Wait 4 DVD to watch Mere Baap Pehle Aap. |

YA here is a movie that is cool and mildly refreshing. though frought with the typical bollywoody ideas, that doesn't harm the the movie expi. This is neither a comedy nor a melo-senti drama kinda thing this is a typical bollywood masala movie. It is really soothing and not a bad idea to watch it. For those who have been loving Genelia after Bommarillu (and so have watched Happy, D etc) will be happy n delighted to see her here too. She is really pervading the screen with her simple n charming beauty. No need to add the good words for Paresh n Naseer. Hey Marathi Folks, Manoj and Sunil Barve are also there ! Also if u dont know, the dialogues are by Manisha Korde. Her dialogues have been really noteworthy ever since she has started. The word "bhanak" is there in the script i see for three or four times. Some two sayings seem to be translated of Marathi sayings but that is not a bad thing either. am all praise for it, and that is the movie and yes Genelia!!!! |

Janaradhan Wishvanbhar Rane (Paresh Rawal) a widower has spent his life bringing up his two kids Chirag (Manoj Joshi) and Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna). Janaradhan has done everything for their kids to bring them up in the best possible manner, ever since they were toddlers. Now when the duos have grown up; Gaurav takes up responsibility of his father. They both manage the household chores and their business with best of their abilities. Though he is the younger son, he treats his father like his son. Gaurav is on the guard with the vigilance of a disciplined parent. He shouts, threatens, and fights – even locks up his father occasionally so that his prankster best friend Madhav Mathur (Om Puri) who is a divorcee, desperate to get married, does not spoil him. Madhav and Janaradhan who are always in search of bride for Madhav forever land up in trouble and every time Gaurav has to bail them out and face the embarrassment. Gaurav busy managing his business starts getting prank calls from a girl who turns out to be his old college friend Sheekha Kapoor (Genelia D’souza). Sheekha is staying with her guardian Anuradha (Shobana) who is also Paresh’s first love. Gaurav and Sheekha notice changes in behavior of Janaradhan and Anuradha when they come face to face after many years. They come to know about their past relationship. Now Akshay wants his father to get married to his lost love. Gaurav and Sheekha embark upon a rib-tickling journey to arrange his father’s love marriage and in the process find soul mates in each other. Of course, the path is not so smooth: there are obstacles. But then, Madhav’s desperate desire for a bride comes handy. How this trio tries to arrange Janaradhan’s and Anuradha’s love marriage is a fun ride to watch. |

Usually, he is his father’s best friend. But whenever he tries to discipline his father, he becomes his father’s father. The two get along like a house on fire – the only bone of contention being Janardhan’s friendship with the lecherous Mathur, whom Gaurav considers to be a bad influence on his father. Paresh Rawal as Janardhan Vishvanbhar Rane This simple and docile man lost his wife years ago, but devoted his life to bringing up his two sons. He has never ever thought of remarriage, whilst his best friend Mathur only thinks of remarriage. Then, out of the blue, he comes face to face with his first love, and he realizes that he never stopped loving her. But he still hesitates to express his love because he is afraid of hurting his own grown-up sons. Genelia D'Souza as Shikha Kapoor This cute and mischievous girl has come from the US for a friend’s wedding. She has another mission as well – to take sweet revenge from the man who played a nasty prank on her when they were studying together in college. That man is Gaurav Rane. Even as she torments Gaurav, she falls in love with him. |
