Its official now: Taraka Ratna would be essaying the role of his life when he dons the crease paint to play ‘Lord Ram’ in director K.Veeru’s upcoming film. Unlike films made in recent past like Sri Rama Rajyam, Veeru’s film won’t be a mythological one but would be a parody of sorts.
The proposed film is billed as a wholesome entertainer which would focus on comedy and action sequences. Actress Archana would play ‘Sita’ opposite Taraka while Krishnudu would be playing ‘Raavan’ in the film. Sizzling Shraddha Das is also roped in for a prominent role, the details of which have not yet been revealed. A mass hero might step into the shoes of a CBI officer, a key character in the script.
To be produced by Johnny, the film is to be launched on April 15. The shooting schedule has been planned in places like Rajahmundry, Rajole and Hyderabad. Others who are part of the cast include the inevitable Brahmanandam, MS, Krishna Bhagawan and Kondavalasa. Sayaji Shinde slips into the role of a comic villain while Suman will be seen as a goonda.
