Actress Sujibala of Ayyavazhi and Goripalayam fame attempted suicide, reportedly due to differences with her family.
Sources said that the actress tried to kill herself at her house in Nagercoil as she was not happy with a marriage proposal put forward by her parents. Sujibala took the extreme step on Sunday and has been admitted to a local hospital where she is recovering.
“On Monday, doctors who tested her health condition expressed satisfaction and said she could be discharged soon,” added sources.
Sujibala’s parents fixed her marriage with one director Ravikumar. The wedding was scheduled to be held at the Tiruchendur temple on Monday (Aug 27). A day ahead of the proposed marriage, she consumed sleeping pills.
