Just a day after actor-producer-director Madan Patel accused the Regional Censor Board Chief Nagaraj of demanding a bribe to pass his film Satyananda, Sandalwood has backed Nagaraj calling Madan’s allegations baseless.
Madan Patel’s latest film Satyananda, which is said to be based on god man Nityananda’s life, has been in the court for quite some time and the Regional Board of Film Certification is waiting for the court’s order to issue the certificate. But Madan who was a chief guest at the audio release of Passenger accused Nagaraj of delaying the film’s release. The director said that the Court’s order has nothing to do with Censor and Censor Chief Nagaraj has demanded a bribe of five lakhs to clear the film. Nagaraj immediately came to the media saying that these allegations are baseless and Madan
Patel has been unnecessary making comments to damage his reputation.
A day after this incident many from the Kannada film industry have come out in open to back Nagaraj. The Karnataka Film Producers Association and many directors has backed Nagaraj saying that he is a honest man and has remained clean throughout his career and that Madan must stop making baseless allegations against such a sincere officer.
