Zbigniew Preisner, a Polish music composer, is all set to land in Mollywood soon. He will be for the first time composing music for an Indian film, through the Malayalam movie Gaadha which will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shaji N Karun.
The movie, which is adapted from a short story “Kadal” by renowned Malayalam writer T Padmanabhan, is based on Indian classical music in symphony orchestra. Priesner, who finds this as an attempt to understand a new culture, is pretty interested in the project and he was impressed with the scripts. Preisner is planning to record the major portion of his compositions for Gaadha at his studio in Poland.
With Mohanlal playing the lead role, the film will be shot in various locations including Ajmer, Varanasi, Leh, Ladak and Kerala.
