Young star Jr.NTR’s superhit movie Brindavanam will soon be remade into Hindi. Buzz in the industry is that producer Dil Raju has sold the rights of the film for a hefty some- probably the highest ever price paid for a Telugu film’s remake rights, to a big production house.
It is said that Ranbir Kapoor is keen to play this role as it suits his image of the family oriented romantic hero. Sources say that one of the heroines could be Sonam Kapoor. Sanjay Dutt will be donning the play of a father, essayed by Prakash Raj in the original.
As it is already known, the Tamil remake rights of Brindavanam were acquired by actor turned politician Vijaykanth for a big price, and his son Shanmuga Pandian, will play the lead role in the film.
NTR’s new film Badshah too has created a record of sorts by selling the satellite rights for a whopping some of 7.25 crores. The film being directed by Srinu Vytla slated to be released for Sankranti is already generating lot of expectations.
