Director Ameer has hit the headlines in the recent past, mostly for the wrong reasons. After being embroiled in the stir that pegged back the industry for a while in the early part of the year as the film producers’ body and FEFSI apparently fought over wages, Ameer's stance resulted in a few twists and turns.
Even as he batted for his colleagues, his own work seemed to be affected. His Aadhi Bhagwan with Jayam Ravi as the hero suffered as a result. One delay after the other pegged the project back to a large extent. Now, he is said to be working overtime in an effort to complete the movie.
Sources said that Ameer had charted out plans to finish the remaining part of Aadhi Bhagwan as quickly as possible and that the director is keen to move ahead.
He will be playing the hero in Karu Pazhaniappan's Pandiya Vamsam. Veteran Raj Kiran is said to be donning a key role in the film.
Somehow things haven't been going well for Ameer as he was slated to work in Bharathiraja's Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum as the hero but was later shown the door. Karu Pazhaniappan had set the agenda for a film with Arulnidhi titled Ashokamitran but that didn't take off at all.
Now, Ameer and Karu Pazhaniappan are expecting things go right with Pandiya Vamsam.
