After journalist Srinath accused director Srinivasaraju of stealing his novel Dandupalyada Hanthakaru and making it in to a film Dandupalya, now another journalist called Gururaj from Mysore has accused director A M R Ramesh of stealing his book Rudra Narthana and making a film Veerappan Attahasa.
Gururaj has claimed that the film is based on his own experiences and his interviews of many police officers and other people who had become targets of forest brigand Veerappan. Gururaj says that Ramesh met him a few years ago and had complimented him for writing a good book.
“Ramesh had told me that he has taken some of the content from the book written by me. But after that he had been deliberately neglecting me. I had even approached the director’s association regarding this, but Ramesh is not ready to accept the truth. I don’t want remuneration but I legally claim a credit as the story writer of the film,” says Gururaj.
