As expected and predicted, Shaji Kailas’s latest movie The King &The Commissioner, starring Suresh Gopi and Mammootty, opened to very good responses today in 128 centres across the state and fifty plus centres outside Kerala. The movie has registered initial collections of 90-100 per cent.
Abound with bombastic dialogues written by Ranji Panikkar and a racy treatment characteristic of the director Shaji Kailas, the movie is said to be in league with its originals in terms of spirit and energy. The title characters are presented in the same punch, with the introduction of Mammootty’s ‘Joseph Alex’ and the climax scene opined to be the best scenes. The 195 minutes long movie has the IAS officer summoned by the PM to investigate the murder cases of two senior intelligence officers.
With its fast pace and thrilling action, the movie is undoubtedly a feast to the eyes of the fans of both the stars. As expected, The King & The Commissioner is evidently on its way to finally present its lead stars and the director with a very welcome hit.
