There has been some talk about Silambarasan a.k.a STR doing a sequel to his 2004 hit Manmadhan. Though nothing has been disclosed about the film by its makers, there are rumours doing the rounds that Anushka Shetty may be paired up with Simbu in the film.
Incidentally, Simbu and Anushka have acted together in Vaanam, which was an average grosser at the box-office.
It may be remembered that Manmadhan which was helmed by Simbu was a romantic thriller which featured STR in the lead and Jyothika and Sindu Tolani played his love interests, while actress-TV personality Mandira Bedi was seen in a cameo.
Meanwhile, there was speculation that STR had approached Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman to score music for the proposed venture and it remains to be see if the duo will work together.
