Roopa tries to rope in Sreesanth for Chandra
Roopa Iyer is all set to start her new film Chandra which features Prem and Ramya in the lead roles. The director is now trying to rope in cricketer Sreesanth for the role of a second hero in the film.
News about the cricketer making his debut into films has been doing the rounds for a while. Some directors from the Malayalam industry had also approached him for their films. However he could not accept those offers because of his love for cricket.
Roopa, who wants a fresh face for her project is considering the 29 year old cricketer for the role. The film is a bilingual and will be shot in Kannada and Tamil simultaneously. The director believes that he would not only look fresh on screen but would also be accepted by the audience in both states.
As of now, casting Sreesanth is just under consideration. Will the cricketer give his nod for the project? Well that’s something we’ll just have to wait and watch.
