Sometime back it was said that Rana would be debuting in Tamil with the Simbu starrer Vada Chennai, in which he would play a prominent role. The film is directed by National Award winner Vetrimaran. But Rana opted out of the film for reasons unknown.
Rana has reportedly finished shooting for his upcoming Bollywood film Department. The film is likely to hit the screens on May 18. He is currently shooting for a Telugu movie, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum opposite Nayanthara.
It is now said that Rana will be finally foraying into K-wood with a film directed by ace director K Selvaraghavan.
Commenting on his entry into Tamil films, Rana said, “If everything goes according to our plans, the bilingual with Selvaa would take wings soon. I’m happy to work with him as the effort to work with him has been there for a long time but has come about only now. After Selva completes his Irandam Ulagam, we shall make a formal announcement about the bilingual film.”
