Jiiva starrer Ko broke a number of Box-Office records and was one of the biggest hits of 2011. Now, the movie produced by Elred Kumar has been chosen for the best Tamil film award to be given away by Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust.
The function is being organized on May 1 at Kamarajar Arangam, to commemorate the centenary year of late B Nagi Reddy, a veteran Tamil producer.
B Nagi Reddy Memorial Award 2011 will be presented at the event and Elred Kumar will receive the honour.
Noted producers AVM Saravanan, veteran lyricist Vairamuthu, veteran directors S P Muthuraman, S A Chandrasekaran, actors Prabhu and Nadia will be among those present at the event.
The organizers of the event said, Ko directed by K V Anand was selected for the award after a thorough scrutiny.
