Sajid Nadiadwala was born on 18th February 1966 in India. His family was heavily involved in movie production. His father was Suleiman Nadiadwala.

He was rumoured to be married to actress Divya Bharathi whose life ended tragically when she fell from her apartment. The reason for her fall is still unsolved. He married a journalist Wardha Khan and has two sons.
