Sabir Khan gained experience in movies when he worked as an assistant director on the sets of Dastak (1996), Mujhse Shaadi Karoge (2004) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005).
He is back in 2009 as a full fledged director for Kambakkth Ishq. Khan has written the screenplay for this movie, which stars Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor as well as Hollywood stars. Akshay Kumar plays a stuntman who locks horns with a supermodel played by Kareena Kapoor.
