Rensil D’Silva is a writer turned director in Bollywood.
As a writer, D’Silva has handled some complex subjects ranging from the supernatural to corruption to terrorism.
In 2001, he wrote Aks which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpai. His next project was the widely acclaimed Rang De Basanti (2006). He won the Popular Award Best Screenplay for this movie along with Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra.
In 2009, his first release was Luck, about gambling with luck. The movie didn’t get lucky at the box office.
