Rakhi Sawant was born in Mumbai on 25th November 1978. She was named Neeru Sawant. Her mother is Usha Sawant and father was a policeman. As she belongs to a very poor family she did not get a chance to get a proper education. She is related to director Rakesh Sawant and former actress Jaya Sawant.
She dated actor Abhishek Avasthi and participated in Dance show Nach Baliye with him.
Rakhi was recently seen in a TV show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar, and decided to marry one of the contestants Elesh Parujanwala amidst controversy.
CAREER
Rakhi Sawant began her career as a cabaret dancer. Rakhi has appeared in many Hindi movies and music albums, the most famous one is Pardesiya. She appeared in a reality show Big Boss and was among the top 4 finalists.
Rakhi has appeared in many movies like Horn OK Please, Gahraee, Dhoom Dhadakka, Gumnam and many more.
