Masumi Makhija was born in 1984. She has a handful of Bollywood films to her credit, apart from working in TV serials as a child artist.
Movies:
• Masumi debuted in the critically acclaimed Maqbool in 2003, where she played Pankaj Kapoor’s daughter. Not only was the film appreciated, but also her performance.
• She then appeared in Chupke Se, playing a middle class girl who dreams of making it as a model. This role, like her debut, got her a lot of attention from the critics.
• The same year Masumi acted in a German film titled Gate to Heaven (2003).
• In 2004 she was seen in another German-made film, The Journey. The movie was in English.
• She has also acted in Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav (2005), Woh Lamhe (2006), Dus Kahaniyaan (2007), Saas Bahu aur Sensex, apart from making a special appearance in Heyy Babyy (2007).
• In 2009 she will be seen in a Sanjay Gupta movie Alibaug.
On TV as a Child Artist:
Masumi has appeared in two television serials Banegi Apni Baat and Gatha as a child artist.
