Mani Ratnam, the famed Director, Producer and Writer needs no introduction. He was born as Gopalaratnam Subramaniam on 2nd June, 1956, in Madurai. Armed with an MBA degree he worked as a management Consultant before getting into the filmworld. Renowned film Producer G. Venkateswaran is his brother; it's with his help that Ratnam became a Director. He married Suhasini (actor) and has 1 son with her.
