Javed Jaffrey

Javed Jaffery is an actor in Bollywood and television. He is hosting a popular dance show
called Boogie woogie since 1996 on Sony Entertainment Television and has also done the commentry for the teleision show
Takeshi's Castle.

Basics
Javed Jaffrey was born to Jagdeep (Syed Jawaher Ali Jaffrey) the famous comedian. He was born in Mumbai on 4 December 1959.
Javed's daughter Fatima Javed lives in the USA.

Professional
Javed Jaffrey has played many roles in Hindi movies and serials. He started his filmy career with Laakhan in 1979 and
played a negative role in Meri Jung (1985). He has acted in more than 30 movies out of which the most famous
ones are: Singh Is Kinng, Salaam Namaste, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Dhamaal and Kambakth Ishq. Javed is known for his comic roles
and his deadpan expressions and has received an award for Salaam Namaste for Best Performance in a Comic Role (2006).

He anchored a show called Videocon Flashback. His performance in Timex Timepass was also notable.

Javed owes his popularity to the Maggi tomato ketchup advertisements he was part of in the beginning of his career.
