Jagapathi Babu’s real name is Veeramachaneni Jagapathi Chowdhury. He was born on 12th February 1964 in Machalipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father is the producer and director V.B.Rajendra Prasad.
Jagapathi Babu’s Movies
Jagapathi Babu made his debut in a movie directed by his father called Simha Swapnam (1989). He won the Nandi Best Actor Award for Maavi Chiguru (1996). Antahpuram (1998) was one of his major hits and won him the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor.
His performance in Manoharan (2000) won him a Nandi Best Actor Award. He won a second Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for Lakshyam (2007) in which he played a police officer.
His releases in 2009 are Siddam, Akasamantha and Bangara Babu with Meera Jasmine which is filmed in Jammu & Kashmir.
