Ikram Akhtar, a writer, has several movies to his credit, though none of them have created waves at the box office or otherwise. He started off as an Assistant Director in 1998, with the film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. Though the film did reasonably well, he changed the direction of his career and got into writing for movies.

• He wrote the story and screenplay of the Sanjay Dutt starrer Baaghi (2000).
• In the same year he wrote the story and screenplay of 2 more films- Chal Mere Bhai and Joru Ka Ghulam.
