Shamili is better known as Baby Shamili, the girl who stole hearts in Mani Rathnam’s Anjali.
Shamili was born in 1986. Movies are familiar territory for this actress as her brother Richard is an actor and so is her sister Shalini Kumar.
Her portrayal as a mentally ill girl who finds acceptance and love in Mani Rathnam’s Anjali (1990) shot her to fame and won her a National Film Award for Best Child Artist. Since then she has worked in many Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam movies like Durga (1990), Pookkalam Varavayi (1991) and Sambhavi (1993).
